Gigi is a recording project of Vancouver-based songwriter Nick Krgovich and producer/engineer Colin Stewart. This project was started in 2005 consisting of their musician friends working in The Hive studios capturing the spirit of early 60′s pop music in honor of the classic Phil Spector and Brill Building. Gigi’s debut album Maintenant is out 2/10/2010 on TOMLAB.

I got a chance to see these dudes perform a few months back down by the pier in Huntington Beach and even in the horrific sandy wind flying into everyones mouth they still managed to keep their cool and give us a great show. I Hate Rock N Roll just released a split 7″ between audacity and darker my love. Their idea was to pair up two bands completely different from each other and the ending result is for you to find out.
